GDP (PPP), Per capita: Contradiction with Liechtenstein[edit]

Both articles claim that Luxembourg and Liechtenstein rank 2nd.

Letzemburgesch[edit]

This article mentions, at the end of the first paragraph, that one of the languages spoke in Luxumburg is "Luxembourgish". Would it make sense to put this language in its Letzemburgesch name and put in "Letzemburgesch"? Rollo August (talk) 09:26, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The language itself is referred to on the English Wikipedia as Luxembourgish; and given my previous experience reading Wikipedia, standard procedure seems to be to refer to languages within articles on the English Wikipedia with their English name, e.g. German and not Deutsch, French and not Français, Japanese and not 日本語.

Also, it’s Lëtzebuergesch, not Letzemburgesch. Tvx1 21:42, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also it's 'Luxembourg' not 'Luxemburg', that's German and it's not 'Letzemburgesch' it's 'Lëtzebuergesch' and no, on the English Wikipedia, the language is in English as it is the English Wikipedia. Atharva210 (talk) 18:58, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Banking and financial services in Luxembourg[edit]

The article briefly mentions that financial services is an important economic activity. I believe this subject deserves its own subsection. I do not have much knowledge on this subject, so I cannot write about it. I actually came here in the hope to find more information on the history of banking in Luxembourg, which used to be an important tax haven (similar to Switzerland?), and on the role of e.g. the European Union in how it changed to the present situation.

Using British English[edit]

Alright, I have a question. Why on earth shall we use American English for a country that teaches British English in its schools, and when spoken, more use British English, with the exception of Americans or those who lived there. Just asking, but doesn't it make more sense to assign the template "Use British English". Personally, it seems more logical. Please let me know your fellow inputs and opinions on this matter. I go to school in Luxembourg City and they teach British English and it's quite literally the case in most schools across the country. Kindly do let me know your opinion.

Thank you and have a nice morning/afternoon/evening/night! Atharva210 (talk) 18:55, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
