Alternative spelling(s)?[edit]

A significant number of people write "Vsevolov Meyerhold" (121 Google hits) instead of "Vsevolod Meyerhold" (28000 Google hits). (This detail might help a researcher find a little more information otherwise unreachable.)

(Note: IF "Vsevolov" is a REAL (recognized or national) alternative spelling for "Vsevolod", then it should probably be added to the article.) --Whiner01 (talk) 01:23, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jewish origins[edit]

Many articles mention his Jewish origins, yet the Wikipedia article makes no mention of it. I'm sure there are more authoritative sources than this, but here's one for starters: http://jewishstandard.timesofisrael.com/torture-is-not-an-abstraction/ --90.156.104.160 (talk) 17:43, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes, Jewish nationalistic authors tend to call Meyerhold - as well as many other prominent historical figures - "a Jew". Without giving any links or sources to support their words, just like in this case. AveTory (talk) 12:04, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
