Star Wars Wiki[edit]

Was this just created today in response to the Great LucasCruft Purge? -- Riffsyphon1024 06:47, Mar 10, 2005 (UTC)

No, I'm not sure what you're talking about...I've been out of pocket for a few days. It's something that Angela and I have been working out over the past week or so. She is VP of Wikia which was also founded by Jimmy Wales. I had posed a question to the board a while back, and she got back with me and said Jimmy (I'm assuming by extension the board) had asked her to contact me about setting this up. She's done all the real work. Now it's just up to us to get stuff moved over. Cbarbry 06:58, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Well it's perfectly timed because GRider has started submitting several SW articles for deletion tonight (i.e. The Great LucasCruft Purge). Refer to the section on SW Vfds on my user page. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:13, Mar 10, 2005 (UTC)

I have moved my major list articles over, however I beleive we may have a problem with the Main Page. User:AlextheMartian was attempting to add a welcome sign on the main page that would update the number of articles and whatnot, and it looks like he f*cked up somewhere. Database error. Better get someone over there to fix it. -- Riffsyphon1024 10:39, Mar 10, 2005 (UTC)

The database error was a temporary issue. If you see it again, just refresh the page and it should be back to normal. Angela 12:59, Mar 10, 2005 (UTC)
I might have fixed it myself by reverting to the last version, I could view that version but not the new one, I even refreshed and no difference with the new one, so I had to revert, and that seemed to work. -- Riffsyphon1024 20:50, Mar 10, 2005 (UTC)

Whoa, Cbarbry, slow down. They aren't deleting everything yet. Especially the massive lists of locations articles I have worked on. Besides, I already copied them over. Now the decision is whether or not the Wikipedia community will still accept them. -- Riffsyphon1024 10:32, Mar 12, 2005 (UTC)

No problem... and for sure don't think I'm trying to destroy your articles you've worked so hard on. I'm not VfD'ing any of the articles. I'm just flagging the articles that I think should be SWW instead of Wikipedia. I've actually changed the wording a bit, too, on the template so it is a little more precise. Cool? Cbarbry 10:49, 12 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Hi there, just joining the debate on the SW articles. I realise that this may already be discussed but I am having a trawl through the VfD and have only noticed now. Please don't blank articles that are currently on VfD, actually most of the SW articles are being merged rather than deleted. of course by all means copy stuff onto the Star Wars wiki though, after all Wikipedia content is free licensed... -- Lochaber 18:28, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I have gone to copying articles rather than redirecting them now. -- Riffsyphon1024 18:45, Mar 15, 2005 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for that, personally I want to keep the SW content so if you think that some of the content is appropriate on Wikipedia then please vote accordingly in the VfD rather than just transwiking... I suppose I want to fight the fight for the articles and it makes it difficult if the deletionists know that there is a place to dump all the SW stuff ;-) -- Lochaber 19:19, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, sorry about that Lochaber. I should not have blanked that article out. (That's all I'll say here since you've joined the discussion on SimonP's talk page). Cbarbry 05:22, 16 Mar 2005 (UTC)

swwiki[edit]

Please stop placing Template:Swwiki on articles. If it is useful at all it clearly belongs on the talk page. - SimonP 23:09, Mar 13, 2005 (UTC)

I replied on your talk page since there was already a discussion going on there. Cbarbry 12:59, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Wookieepedia Error[edit]

I came across when trying to copy articles from Wiki to Wookieepedia. Prevented me from accessing anything after that, for now.

Make any sense of it? -- Riffsyphon1024 18:19, Mar 18, 2005 (UTC)

No, sorry. Are you still having problems? WhiteBoy 07:16, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Did you change your name? -- Riffsyphon1024 07:45, Mar 20, 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, dropped you a quick post @ SWW letting you know. WhiteBoy 07:50, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)

hey whats up[edit]

What your favirote Star Wars character White Boy? My name gives mine away.......--Kit fisto 02:20, July 23, 2005 (UTC)

  • I'm thinking probably Obi-Wan. Honestly, I don't think I would have said that before the prequel movies, but I really like how he has become the shining example doing what is good and right, no matter what. WhiteBoy 23:52, 11 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Voice over the Net has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Only links are to VON's site, no evidence of WP:Significant coverage needed to establish notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
