Welcome!

Hello, AnalyticHistorian, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

One thing - when you add a tag saying "this section is disputed - see talk page" you have to put on the talk page why you think it is disputed. In fact, just one line below where you placed the tag, there was a reference to an article which backed up the figures given.

Happy editing. DJ Clayworth 06:47, 22 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I was editing that talk page, but hadn't hit the Save page button yet. I followed the link that you mentioned and looked at it. They don't explain where they got their numbers, which are inconsistent with accepted census data.AnalyticHistorian 08:56, 22 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
