You were listed on the Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Iceland page as living in or being associated with Iceland. As part of the Wikipedia:User categorisation project, these lists are being replaced with user categories. Hexayurt[edit]

I have redeleted this talk page per CSD G8. If you wish to appeal the deletion (which had very clear consensus to delete), then WP:DRV is the place, rather than the talk page of a non-existing article. You should be aware that it seems rather unlikely that the deletion be overturned; the afd was a unanimous call for "delete" I would advise that a better course of action would be to rewrite the article and avoid the issues raised in the afd while doing so. -- Anonymous DissidentTalk 11:45, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hallgrímskirkja image[edit]

Hello, a file you uploaded (File:Hallgrimskirkja transposed.jpg) has been nominated for deletion on Wikimedia Commons because of freedom of panorama laws restricting commercial use. Would you be able to upload it here on the English Wikipedia with a fair use rationale? Thanks, Hayden120 (talk) 05:10, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Jérémie Zimmermann has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 18:15, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Shingo Kobayashi[edit]

You recently commented to keep the article Shingo Kobayashi, a BLP tagged as unreferenced since January 2009. Unreferenced BLPs are a serious concern facing Wikipedia. Since you believe this article should be kept, any assistance you can provide to add substantive citations to the article would be appreciated. --Vassyana (talk) 15:35, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 22:24, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Dougald Hine has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Notice

The article Microsegregation has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

It exists, but currently this is simply a dictionary definition. As per WP:DICDEF.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Discussion at Talk:Foreman Thuridur[edit]

I invite you to please join the discussion at Talk:Foreman Thuridur.

Hello, I am seeking help with the Foreman Thuridur article, recently translated from is:Þuríður formaður, and the discussion on its talk page. I am writing to you because you are in Category:User is-N and you are either part of WikiProject Iceland, interested in translating, or have been active on the Icelandic or English Wikipedias or other Wikimedia projects.

I realize that some of you are very busy (especially the admins), while others may no longer be editing. Nevertheless, I thought it wise to consult with you.

Thank your for whatever work that you do on Wiki[mp]edia! Peaceray (talk) 05:58, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
