Grahm Junior College was significant in that it provided safe haven for a number of Baby Boomers seeking to avoid being drafted into the Vietnam War and in that it was the alma mater and a formative place for performance artist Andy Kaufmann. --Montanean 04:00, 30 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Tarkulich (billski), GJC class of 1975 is augmenting the history of the school with reportage found in the Boston Globe newspapers of the era. These documents have been obtained from the Globe archives. The school was renown for being "foot loose and fancy free" with it's name. While it was legally known as the "Cambridge School", advertisements, reportage and documents in my possession, show disregard to that name. It is alternately known as, "Cambridge School of Business" , "Cambridge School of Radio/TV", "Cambridge School of Broadcasting", none of which were legal entities. Within Cambridge School, two schools operated. the school of business and the school of broadcasting.Bill Tarkulich (talk) 23:01, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks are due to Billski for the research in newspaper archives, and I've now turned those listed that were in use into wiki-syntax footnotes, so there is not a double referencing system. However, we really need the titles for those articles (preferably also the reporters' names and the page numbers, and I suspect some of them may reference more that they're being used for, but the titles are vital). Unfortunately for me, the Boston Globe archives are locked up tight as a drum and are not available through Google News Archive, and I doubt I'm going to be able to access them via the college whose library I can use. So I'm pinging the editor in case he gets e-mail notifications, and also hoping someone with a subscription will see this and be so kind as to help out. Thanks for converting the reference. I neither have the time nor the patience to do that, so I really appreciate this. I would be happy to locate the titles, when available. I have copies of most of the articles that I referenced. They all have titles, but very often, no author. In many cases this is some sort of "news release" from the College with no attribution.
