Was that GNU AIM or GNOME AIM?

   I believe it was GNU, but it was dropped because it 
   wasn't an official GNU project. it was originally a 
   GTK+ app without GNOME support, so i don't see how 
   that would fit. 
   (maybe i could ask one of the maintainers) -jrousseau
