PMR!!![edit]

Andrew and I were going to make a PMR website on Moink maybe. Good job, keep up the good wiki work! Acumensch 03:00, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'm glad it made you laugh; I chuckled over that one myself when it occurred to me, and while it may not be the most encyclopedic-toned remark, it's sufficiently ephemeral that I figured I should go ahead.
Glad to have improved your morning!

Skateboarding Wikiproject[edit]

I was browsing through Wikipedia and was amazed that there wasn't a wikiproject on skateboarding. So I looked around related pages and found you. What happened to this: User:Liface/Skateboarding? It seems lik a good idea so why wasnt it 'officially' created? --Hdt83 Chat 08:44, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

Hey Liface, long time no chat.. just to let you know I've tagged the Jess Margera image you uploaded as replaceable fair use and removed it from the article.. this is part of a big cleanup, basically all non-free pictures (screenshot, promotional etc) that only serve to show what a person looks like are being rooted out.. if I tag any other of your images it's very likely for the same reason. DVD screenshots should only be used on the article about the DVD, rather than people featured in it.. Cheers, Deiz talk 14:30, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Harned.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Harned.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 10:49, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Philmargera.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Philmargera.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:31, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Flip tricks (skateboarding)[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Flip tricks (skateboarding), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. VegitaU 01:10, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Flip tricks (skateboarding), an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Flip tricks (skateboarding) satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Flip tricks (skateboarding) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Flip tricks (skateboarding) during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. VegitaU 02:12, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Splashmt.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Splashmt.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. NEWS OF IMPORT[edit]

To Whom It May Concern,

It has come to my attention that in dream and nightmare certain bleak realities reveal themselves. In sleeping hours I have seen visions of wormlike monstrosities with modulated, clay-like extremities working their way across the floor of my bedroom. It is bleakly true that I thought they were dream for but a while, however, it has become apparent that they are true, tangible forms of an alien menace. I awoke one morning to find one trapped under my bookshelf!
I felt driven mad with rage and misunderstanding to see the writhing form underneath my overturned shelf, but it was clear that they were in my room the night prior. When it saw me, a formless pseudopod enveloped its head and it instantly incinerated, setting my room partially smoldered. There are others, they are examining us, and they let us see them in our sleep but leave no evidence! I found the one in a billion mistake they ever made. They are a hateful race from outer space, I've heard them speak, they send universal emotional signals that resonate with the metals in the environment, they hate everything, they examine and judge races then destroy them. They're so powerful! We can't detect them! They are trying to destroy our sun! Please, disseminate this information! It is vital the people tell their government what is occurring! Do not let the hateful alien worms take our planet over!

With utmost haste,

Fair use rationale for Image:Ethniccleansing.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Ethniccleansing.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Liface! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 1,195 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

I am an unregistered editor, and I attempted to edit http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=College_tuition_in_the_United_States&action=history where I see you have edited recently, but 'Nasnema' just now apparently vandalised the page, and reverted my edits, falsely claiming that I did not cite my sources; I did cite my sources.

I am a religious person who believes in God, and I do not wish to cause unnecessary pain or trouble for 'Nasnema,' but also, I must defend the truth and what is right: It would appear that this user is valdalising this page, & falsely claiming that I am --which makes a good case that I should not join Wikipedia. Could you please look itno it? Thank you.71.101.40.113 (talk) 17:08, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
