Talk:Communalism (Bookchin)

Eco-communalism appears to advocate for the exact same things as the political communalism listed on this page. The eco-communalist page is also very poorly sourced, and it would be better to have one significant page for the topic rather than several poorly maintained ones. Sources for eco-communalism[edit]

I found plenty of sources for the term "eco-communalism". For this reason, I am reverting the edit removing the Eco-communalism section.

That's fine, looks like it is more covered in 'Google books' than Google search. There were only a small handful of non-notable sources that mentioned eco-communalism in the search, but it looks like it's more extensively covered in books.Catiline52 (talk) 00:42, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Scope[edit]

What sources discuss "communalism" as a discrete topic? The article mostly consists of summaries of existing Bookchin-related concepts/articles. Looks like a fair amount of original research at play, if there is a discrete topic beyond a dictionary definition here in all this. czar 23:15, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The "Politics" section is virtually unchanged from when it was merged years ago, and repeats content that is already much better explained and sourced within Murray Bookchin § Thought. The Christianity part has no bearing on the political topic. Which brings us to the original point, that this isn't a discrete topic apart from the dictionary definition. Next step is to turn it into a dab page. czar 23:41, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
