This is for anyone who is annoyed at Wikipedia. Feel free to add to this list. It isn't meant to cause any sort of change on Wikipedia, just highlight some of the things about the project that get people down. If it does inspire you to change something, then good luck.
What gets me down about Wikipedia[edit]
- The idea that something must be encyclopaedic
- Peoples' hatred to stubs. They often serve to give atleast a basic piece of information.
- The enforced agenda of what is right and wrong.
- The way in which people get so arsey and try to be as politically correct as possible.
- Oversensitivity to the things that don't really matter.
- Receiving patronising notices on what is good Wikipedia practice.
- People using long and complex language, just for the sake of it.
- The way new people with fresh ideas can be dismissed unfairly.
- The bullying clique agenda - You fight one Wikipedian, you fight the lot
- Deletionism
- Rude, arrogant people w/o enough respect for their fellow man to be anything other than anti-wiki
- Edit wars
- Otherwise good users who are unable to accept being wrong/POV on some particular
- Rude, arrogant people who think that their material is sacrosanct and cannot be possibly edited or even, just maybe, not encyclopedic.
