Only 45 ? Why did she die so young ? -- Derek Ross | Talk

Well, that's not so short life. She lived longer than most of the notable people of her time, including her husband and her daughter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.250.116.18 (talk) 20:05, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sickness[edit]

) Most historians believe that she died of a sickness. I think I've heard 'dropsy' mentioned, but I'm not entirely sure what it is.

It is the shortened form of hydropsy, now known as edema, and refers to an excessive build up of fluids in connective tissues. The sufferer would appear abnormally bloated. Rcpaterson 01:39, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bio box[edit]

If she was born in Lorraine she was not born in France. I know this is picky but Lorraine was de jure independent of France in 1515. I think it is important to have give sense of how fluid borders and national loyalties could be at this time. Mary was Lorrainer, French, Scottish, and for all I know had some other loyalties. Don't forget that Lorraine was a fief of the Holy Roman Empire making her German as well.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 17:46, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
All the aforesaid can also be said of the NWO worthy, Joan of Arc whom even admits in her court statements to “going into France” and suchlike. Bytheway, both the hereinsaid were also crypto-Jews and Jews known to oft settle on boundaries and borders (for whatever whyfor) hence both Jewesses are born in the Bar Le Duc that borders France. 2A00:23C7:9C97:5D01:7505:447E:45EF:4760 (talk) 02:49, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Don't post racist rot here. That statement is FALSE, they were not Jews. 50.111.29.1 (talk) 19:06, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

C-Class, but article needs more citations[edit]

The article needs to offer citations for its many assertions as to Mary's feelings, state of mind, physical resemblance to Madeleine, etc. Unless these issues are resolved, the article will never make B-Class. I have tagged it as C-Class.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 08:50, 2 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The lead also needs expansion.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 08:51, 2 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reference list[edit]

I suggest the implementation of {{Reflist|colwidth=45em}} on this article, because of the length of the reference list. Opinions, rejections? —bender235 (talk) 00:46, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Who had heavy losses?[edit]

"After an English assault on Leith was repulsed with heavy losses"

This is confusing. Who had heavy losses, the English or the Scottish? Can we make this clear? Omc (talk) 15:58, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That's the King's English - nothing wrong with it. The Scots, of course ... 50.111.29.1 (talk) 19:07, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
