Untitled[edit]

Sun Ce was said to have used a sword and a spear. In his historical duel with Taishi Ci, he took one of Taishi Ci's hand spears and the two fought with them, with Sun Ce using Taishi Ci's weapon as a shield and Taishi Ci using Sun Ce's own helmet. When he was attacked by assassins, Sun Ce is said to have killed one with his bow. Historical portraits of Sun Ce also portray him with a poleax.

It should be noted that the tonfa is a Japanese weapon not invented until the 1400's, whilst Sun Ce was a Chinese general in the 200's. Thus, the tonfa is not only not Sun Ce's weapon, but not a weapon used at any time by any Chinese general.

Xu Chang[edit]

The claim that Sun Ce was planning on attacking Xu Chang cannot be discussed factually like it is in the article's current form. Many historians have disputed it, including Dr. Rafe de Crespigny.

The Attack on Xuchang[edit]

This is an vital attack on XuChang and Sun Ce would of Killed Xuchang anyway!

Place name[edit]

The article mentions an area named Qu'e; I have only ever seen it as Qu'a. Anybody? Cao Wei 19:49, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is some conflict over where Sun Ce actually buried his father. There are two main beliefs: Ce buried him in Qu'a and Ce then went to Jiangdu or Jian was buried in the Qu'e plains and he went to Dangyang. I'm currently looking into this but I suspect he was buried at Qu'a. I haven't found a great deal of information on Qu'e myself. --Emperor Wu 20:05, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've just enquired about it and it turns out that Qu'a and Qu'e are likely to be one and the same plains but with different Romanization. This would explain why Qu'e is rarely spoken of; Qu'a is the more common term for the area. --Emperor Wu 21:07, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would say that right now it's unnecessary. Other related articles all use Qu'e and so there is a pattern of consistency. It would only be necessary to note it in an article about Qu'e. Is this point of view?[edit]

"In the game, Sūn Cè is just one more victim of the infamous treatment of Koei to ridicule the characters of the era of the Three Kingdoms, just like Zhang He, Xu Zhu and Guan Ping." This sounds like point of view to me and according to wikipedia, you can't include that in an article.

I personally don't think Koei ridicules any characters in the era of the three kingdoms. I mean it is just a game after all. I think i will delete that line from the text.69.236.165.96 20:27, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Long Story Short, only a point of view. Ce apparently was one of the greater characters in the 3 Kingdoms and whatever he was in the Koei games were almost his personality in real accounts.58.69.35.84 (talk) 00:07, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
