Online edition of Chrolicles and copyright[edit]

Is it OK to link to an online edition of the Chronicles? Please check out the link and tell me what you think! --Cobwebber 11:37, 11 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Somebody from the University of Pennsylvania just told me "Everything on our website is copyright protected by The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania". So I guess I'd better remove the link to Chronicles. Same thing in the Raphael Holinshed article. -Cobwebber 14:01, 11 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Hi, Cobwebber! Even if the material is under the Univ of Pennsylvania's copyright, there's no reason we can't include a hyperlink to their site. (Purely as a side note, although they may claim copyright, they can't really own copyright on scans of public domain works--but that's a whole different battle that we don't have to concern ourselves with). So, anyway, I'll restore the link. PRiis 00:44, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Oops--actually, I'll just restore it on the Holinshed page, not the Wolfe page. PRiis 00:54, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
