Untitled[edit]

One question about the second paragraph: It says Ryanair wanted to start service from "this" airport. I just want to clarify, they wanted to start from John Paul II, not from Warsaw, right? -- Ortonmc 16:09, 17 Sep 2003 (UTC)

OK, another question. :-) Is the military airbase still in use, or would it be better described as "former military airbase"? -- Ortonmc 16:11, 17 Sep 2003 (UTC)

Yes, "this" mean Krakow airport. The second question: yes, this military airbase is still in use. The "first" airport was also opened on the area of this base. The "second" one - planned to be open 2004 - will also use some area of this base. But Polish army will still use the rest of the airbase. It was said that the American army was planning to develop this airbase as a NATO airbase, but it's only a gossip and totally different story. Thank you for the help Ortonmc!!! I can confirm. The military airbase (mostly focused on transport aircrafts) is still operational, and one of the major air transport hubs for Polish air force, used also on some NATO missions. https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/8_Baza_Lotnictwa_Transportowego for some extra details. They also support some military search and rescue operations (not sure if they are also used for civilian purposes). The runway and some other infrastructure is property of military. Getting there[edit]

The location where the shuttle train from Krakow terminates can hardly be called a station. It's just a rough platform, without even a shelter or a ticket office or any other structure. It should be called a stop until it deserves anything better.
The '200m walk from the station' is a piece of airport propaganda. Yes, it would be 200 metres if you climbed across two (or more) fences. For the less physically able and/or daring it's at least twice the distance.

Airlines & Destinations[edit]

So although I'm not familiar with how to create tables, something went wrong and the Airlines & Destinations table is all messed up.
