That picture currently in the article is not a northern fur seal (maybe a steller sea lion?). Making a blanket (well, there are some holes) request to uncapitalize these articles:
Support as this is most common in the literature on these critters (indeed marine science generally). There are certainly examples of each caps format in the literature, following the conventions of the journals publishing the work. However there's more frequent publication in marine science journals (which tend to use the fisheries lower case convention) than in the general naturalist/biology journals (which have a mixture, but often come from a birding tradition of all uppercase convention). Support: (unsurprising, since I proposed it). I might add (as a response to the Neutral comment below: "I don't see much sense in these page moves simply for casing") that besides the fact that sentence case is almost universally accepted in the scientific literature and the intrinsic esthetic value of consistency between articles (note the Hawaiian monk seal but the Mediterranean Monk Seal), an additional point is that in the process of wikilinking articles between, e.g., obscure but related seal species, links occasionally won't work when using the straightforward sentence case, and it is a bit of nuisance to always have to create redirects. It was the third new redirect that prompted this request in the first place.
Incidentally, a more thorough canvassing of the pinnipeds brings up the following unnecessarily capitalized articles:
(Curiously, the Australian/New Zealand/Southern Fur Seal is the only pinniped I see whose article title is the scientific name Arctocephalus forsteri.) In any case, if all of these were renamed, then the pinnipeds would be covered and consistent. I am not sure if I can just tack this list on the Move request above, since so much of this process is automated and BOT-controlled. Any advice from people with experience?
