No such thing as 'syllables' in Japanese haiku[edit]

This is lazy writing. And to treat Masaoka Shiki (!) with such disdain ... oh, dear. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.68.94.86 (talk) 22:38, 5 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

According to my reference (Burton Watson's book on Santoka), Santoka began publishing haiku in 1913 in Sōun (Layered Clouds). BlankVerse 10:07, 16 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

WP:Japan Assessment Commentary[edit]

The article only needs some "supporting materials" to be a B-class. An infobox would be enough; other "supporting materials" include a photo of Taneda, his grave, or someplace he lived; or a map showing one of the routes he travelled. Boneyard90 (talk) 16:18, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
