I didn't know of this movie until I saw it listed in the category of cult films.

Good Premise but Something went Wrong[edit]

And the premise sounds good. Too bad they took 3 times more money than "Clerks" and made this monstrosity. Mcpusc 07:09, 22 Jan 2005 (UTC)

It wasn't really 3 times the budget of Clerks. That film was shot for around 28,000 USD, sure, but by the time it got through post-production it ended up costing well over $200,000 USD. Since this film cost a total of $100,000 Canadian--with 8 years of inflation separating the two films--you could basically say this cost a THIRD of what Clerks did. God, I just realized I'm responding to a comment posted nearly a year ago.

For the record, they DELIBERATELY set out to make a bad B-movie, complete with jive hackneyed dialogue, Mexican wrestlers, B-movie Russ Meyer fake lesbian titillation, and inappropriate musical numbers. If you look at it through that angle, the movie is genius.

Unfortuantly, most people can't understand or comprehend the tongue-in-cheek way this film was made, and therefore can't understand how such a horrible movie is actually kick ass. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.11.215.101 (talk) 18:57, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
