Baltic languages[edit]

hi Monmartre, if you want to make controversial edits, it is a good idea to discuss them beforehand. It is always possible to find a compromise wording. Just inserting your point of view will not work, though, people will just revert your edits. Also, very importantly, you need to cite your sources, in controversial cases for the exact statement you are making. I am assuming, the edits by User:83.223.132.198 (tclv-gw.telecom.lt) were made by you too, btw. dab () 09:11, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Hello, dab!

Thanks for the info. Sorry, but I'm new to Wikipedia.

1) It is your bogus information that is controversial.

2) User:83.223.132.198 (tclv-gw.telecom.lt) has nothing to do with me. Apparently it's just another person (from .lt = Lithuania, I happen not to live there) trying to edit the false information you provide so stubbornly. The more people find out about this article, the more corrections you will recieve. I just can't wait till a serious linguist who has done a serious research on Baltic and Slavic languages finds this. What do you even know about the Baltic and Slavic languages besides an article you found somewhere on the internet?! Do you really need to recieve a letter authored by linguist committee and signed by the government officials to stop pulling s#%t out of your ass? I might not have a degree in linguistics, but trust me - I know these languages a million times better than you do. I'm sorry if it sounds like bragging.

Sincerely, Monmartre

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Latvijas gerbonis.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image Tagging Image:1918.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:1918.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, so its copyright status is therefore unclear. Could you add a tag to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Also, please leave this information on the image page. Otherwise, see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. Thanks so much.
