WebWise Hop2- a minor piece of software that gets 32 Google hits. Related to the already deleted CactuSoft article. - SimonP 16:13, Aug 19, 2004 (UTC)

• Keep. No problem here...I support companies having their own pages in Wikipedia. m:Wikipedia is not paper. — Mr. Grinch (Talk) 16:20, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Delete: I support notable companies having pages. Encyclopedias, whether made of ether, electrons, or paper, still have to include only notable information. (Sorry for being snippy, Mr. Grinch.) Geogre 17:06, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• How do you, and I mean you, personally, define notable company? If we have no size limits, I think we should get to put in everything we can. — Mr. Grinch (Talk) 19:01, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• WP is not paper, but its resources are limited all the same. Wile E. Heresiarch 20:56, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• How so? Articles like this are not going to fill up the Wikipedia's entire server. — Mr. Grinch (Talk) 16:57, 26 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Delete. Advert for yet to be released software. Andrewa 18:18, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• No, there's nothing at all promotional in there, except for the fact that it lists the software's features, which happens on most software pages. Also, there's no "adverts" in the United States. You Brits drive me crazy. — Mr. Grinch (Talk) 19:01, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Comment: There even are places where English completely disappears. In America they haven't used it for years. (My Fair Lady, written by an American.) Can I take it you're a Yank, mate? 'Cause I ain't a Brit. Anyway, agree that it's not promotional, there's a security warning (and a very understated one IMO... scary!) but it's still an advert IMO. Advertising takes many forms. No change of vote. Andrewa 19:54, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• You xenophobes drive me crazy, Mr. Grinch. I'm actually not sure about the advertising, I mean to say advert - there's a bit of NPOV in there - but it might warrant deletion for copyvio. The exact same text appears on [1]. That doesn't look like a Wikipedia mirror to me. Could somebody more savvy take a look, please? (The item is most easily found by first googling for WebWise Hop2.) • Err, the page I found on serebella.com ([2]) says This article is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License. It uses material from the Wikipedia article "WebWise_Hop2".Stormie 00:49, Aug 20, 2004 (UTC)
• :-) Thanks, Stormie. At least I knew to ask. In that case, I vote keep, in that this looks to me like information somebody might conceivably look for and be glad to find. Also, there's some real NPOV, with the mention of the security hole. That's on a whole other level than the "some people believe", "but others don't" malarkey hastily added to op-ed pieces that we see so much of in the VfD period. (I'm going to call that editing technique Dirtying up.) Bishonen 11:19, 20 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Delete: advert. Wile E. Heresiarch 20:56, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Delete. Household names only, please. WP may not be paper, but it is certainly not a vaporware directory either. Jeeves 00:08, 20 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Delete, far from sufficiently notable. We judged the company not notable, certainly their not-yet-released piece of software is not either. —Stormie 00:49, Aug 20, 2004 (UTC)
• Delete. Non-notable software; just a wrapper for Internet Explorer. The only Google hits (which you'd think a web browser would have) are from Wikipedia and its mirrors. Gwalla | Talk 02:56, 20 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Delete - non-notable derivative work. - TB 08:34, Aug 20, 2004 (UTC)
• Delete. For good reasons described above. Andris 11:43, Aug 20, 2004 (UTC)
• Delete. CactuSoft appears to be nonexistent. Any product of theirs would be as well. -- Cyrius| 00:31, 21 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Delete. Even I've written software more notable than that.—Rory 16:23, Aug 21, 2004 (UTC)
