About me[edit]

Just another part-time hacker (in the original sense of the word, as in I like to tinker), and all-around computer enthusiast. I'm somewhat of a Linux nut, but I've also used Windows (all versions), FreeBSD, and MacOS, so I'd like to say that I'm fairly unbiased, but the quality control on Redmond's side has left me distinctly unimpressed.

In my free time, I do HTML coding and debate Star Trek versus Star Wars. I got hooked on that extremely geeky hobby while on alt.startrek.vs.starwars in 2000 and haven't looked back. Now, I don't have much time to devote to it, but it's still something amusing to do.

My nickname[edit]

This is an oft-asked question. A lot of people call me Crazy9000 for some reason, probably because it can be phonetically pronounced that way. But that wasn't quite what I'd intended: Originally I had wanted the nickname Cray9000, as in Cray Research and HAL 9000, but someone had already taken that username on a free-mail site I tried. Not one to be stopped, I put a 'z' in the middle (and the rest, as they often say, is history).
