Hey there, welcome to Wikipedia..

I'm seeing you are new to the Wikipedia and have some reverted edits and I put your page up for the votes for deletion. I hope you understand that this is not something that we are doing against you, but a larger procedural issue of what is meant to go into the Wikipedia.

"Free speech" issues put asside, it's only really possible to cover every little miniscule piece of information. If you take the listings of ScriptSearch or FreshMeat or another similar listing service and look for corresponding entries in Wikipedia, you wouldn't find that many are actually listed.

See, the Wikipedia and any page on the Wikipedia are not "yours". The servers that they are stored on belongs to the Wikimedia Foundation, who allows the various folk on the Wikipedia to semi-democratically determine what goes and what stays. When you contribute, you contribute to the whole of Wikipedia, where your origional content may not stay the same and may, over time dissapear. This is the way of the Wikipedia.

Take a look at Wikipedia:Contributing_to_Wikipedia.

Specifically, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for self-promotion, and articles here once created are not owned by their authors. When you created your articles here you agreed to let others modify them. — mendel 02:44, Mar 31, 2004 (UTC)

Blanking a page is considered vandalism and could get you banned. I suggest not doing it again in the future. -- Cyrius | Talk 21:24, Mar 31, 2004 (UTC)
