retitle to LP5[edit]

In general article titles are not to be preemptively disambiguated, and there is only on LP5 in Wikipedia. LP5 (Autechre album) should be renamed back to just LP5.

This page was preemptively retitled from LP5 by Chappy84. This practice has been previously discussed with the user, who then agreed to go with whatever an administrator decides.

LP1, LP3, LP4 and LP6 are empty. LP2 is a non-overlapping album by another band. For the title LP5, AMG lists only this album. – edgarde 07:46, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Survey[edit]

  • Support. Preemptive disambiguation solves nothing by definition. If and when other uses of LP5 are identified, any issues of ambiguity should be resolved then. --Serge 07:59, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

British Overseas Airways Corporation[edit]

This article linked the BOAC of "Under BOAC" to the British Overseas Airways Corporation, and that article included the sentence: '"The seventh track on the album LP5 by electronic music duo Autechre is called "Under BOAC".' While it's true that BOAC does stand for British Overseas Airways Corporation, I think that, given the commonness of non-dictionary words in Autechre's titles, it is at best uncertain that this is what they had in mind when naming the track, so I've removed that link and sentence. Obviously it can go back if we've got a decent reason to believe that there's a real connection. --Camembert (talk) 02:14, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on LP5. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).
