"Vision"[edit]

{{editprotected}} The quote in the lead links to our article on Vision instead of wmf:Vision. The other links in the page seem to be correctly targeted. Anomie 00:45, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Soft redirect[edit]

I have turned this into a soft redirect to wmf:Terms of Use. We run a risk if hosting it here of misleading Wikipedia's contributors (even regular) into believing that we have the right to change it, where we do not. So long as the Wikimedia ToU are linked in the footer, the Wikimedia's ToU apply. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:22, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is it possible to have the {{official policy}} template on this page, so that it shows up in our policy category? And possibly replace the soft redirect with a more user-friendly explanatory sentence, as is done at WP:Privacy policy?--Kotniski (talk) 12:54, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see why not. I'm all for handling it any way that makes clear what it is and where it is. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:57, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see a talk for Terms of Use on meta (lots of translation requests, tho), but otherwise I've handled as per WP:Privacy policy. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:00, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, looks better now.--Kotniski (talk) 13:18, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Much better way of addressing. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:30, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Category discussion[edit]

This page might get a new policy category; the discussion is at WP:VPP#Wikipedia administrative policy. - Dank (push to talk) 01:04, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't disagree with any of the discussion above, but see the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:Policy#Tweak_to_list_of_legal_policies. If we have a separate page marked as policy for each link that a Wikipedian considers important, then the list of Wikipedia policies will grow very large over time, and that will look scary to Wikipedians not familiar with Wikipedia policy (which is most Wikipedians). The page I created for the links was Wikipedia:Wikimedia policy; feel free to revert or rename it. - Dank (push to talk) 14:55, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Category[edit]

Add a category to this page: "Category:Wikipedia legal policies" (see eg. [1]) so that it will be listed at Wikipedia:List of policies Thanks. Alanscottwalker (talk) 21:32, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
