Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Benmcollins. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page SwissDisk ‎, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Felida97 (talk) 13:47, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate the update on how to handle COI. I was not aware of the proper way to handle it.
That being said, the information on the SwissDisk page was incorrect and given that this article was used as the reason to create this page, it seems like very much of a COI that it has been stuck into the page for little to no reason, especially for it to be used as a source of reliable information on the company's start date.
My only intent was to correct the information and link it to a reliable source of reference. Ben Collins (talk) 14:03, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
