Alternate Lyrics[edit]

there are alternate lyrics for both the knife and tRotGH on this album. the knife is a bit more obvious and as for hogweed on NC peter doesnt shout giant hogweed lives!

Double LP Test pressing!?[edit]

This article now asserts that a test-pressing of "Live" as a double album was done, and presumably, exists somewhere. I don't see any citations or documentations for this; the Genesis Discography by Scott McMahan discussed this 20+ years ago (I assume it is still available on line somewhere) and after much speculation dismissed the idea as nonsense; the band were not well enough known to justify the expense, McMahan says, and "Supper's Ready" had just appeared on the previous record, taking up a whole side, and so that much space was not thought worth devoting to one track.

Of course, if such a thing does exist, it's a new Holy Grail in record collecting -- so, is there any actual evidence to support it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.130.202.249 (talk)

I don't believe I have seen a reliable (ie: not forums, blogs, fansites etc) source that has said that a test double album was ever pressed, though the De Montford Hall gig did leak, which is where these have come from. I think we could say that the double album was rumoured; the problem is getting sources for it. I wonder if LowSelfEstidle has got anything? Morning, chaps. I haven't seen anything reliable that confirms it, either. Probably the best we have is Hewitt's book saying that a double is "reportedly" to exist.
