My name is Rod Dav4is. (The "4" is silent.)
Or, sometimes: Rick.

I'm a retired IT professional, presently occupying my time compiling our family genealogy. Thus far, I have documented[1] more than 150,000 relations in some 270 ancestral families and a like number of collateral families. I had the good foresight to be descended from many of the well-documented families of colonial New England, and many of these are connected to ancient lines in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales — and beyond, to Scandinavia and the Continent.

As a sort of sub-hobby, I have documented[2] over 1500 celebrities to whom I am related, albeit remotely in many cases. These run the gamut from saints[3], various royal houses of Europe[4], a number of Presidents of the United States[5], and other politicians, lawyers and similar riff-raff.

As a sort of über-hobby, I am using my programming skills to design and produce my own pages on my website, and also on another site, The Little Nine Partners Historical Society, for which I am webmaster.
