List of characters[edit]

I created a page to list all the characters. ***Ria777 16:52, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New Wonder Showzen category[edit]

I gave the series its own category, too, for biographies of the series creators and the episode summaries to reside. ***Ria777 16:52, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How to describe[edit]

Bold text This show seems to defy description (other than insane). Any help would be appreciated.--Wasabe3543 00:32, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, I saw preview on MTV. The show's site says it's absurdist comedy. Which is true since it's most likely the most fucked up kids show ever. --Saint-Paddy 01:29, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Read this NY Times review, I think it describes the show well, http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9902E2DE133FF932A05750C0A9639C8B63

The show has some strong illicit drug effects portrayed through the show. I am guessing and have heard that it is for tripping to. -- 65.10.112.250 04:29, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you tried to trip and watch wonder showzen, you would have a very bad time. Some images are a stark disturbing contrast to the absurd "trippy" puppets. The final TRUE episode of the show eventually becomes a split screen of hundreds of different things going on at once, with all their sounds playing simultaneously. A bad time, if you ask me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.208.73.163 (talk) 21:44, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

merge[edit]

merge with Wonder showzen? --Morbid-o 13:48, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • Yes, the "Wonder showzen" describes the same show as this article. I merged and redirect the lower case "Showzen" article. The lowercase one had a better intro sentence. --Chill Pill Bill 04:25, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Pilot[edit]

There's a pilot version of it floating around on the Internet (google for Kids Show) - would adding a link to it be of any use?

Hrm. I don't see any problem with it, but one never knows... You could always link to it here. (EBaumsworld?) --Morbid-o 20:04, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, that's the one, pretty much the first hit. Anyone THAT interested can find it themselves anyway.

The article said that the interview puppets name was Chauncey. He's the host. The interview host is clarence.

Showzen[edit]

What is showzen? --Abdull 10:05, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's just meant to sound faux-German.

20+ Edits[edit]

Oh my god, this anonymous guy edited the damn page atleast 20 times over the night and just ended up screwing the thing up. I didn't mention it in the edit, but my edit was a revert.--Kugamazog 10:48, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cast[edit]

I'm quite sure that some of the animated characters aren't cast. They are only featured once so far. I plan on removing them unless someone has an objection. --Kugamazog 12:45, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Body and D.O.G. seem to be recurring, and it seems the He-Man spoof is going to show up this week.--CyberGhostface 20:02, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Horse Apples[edit]

What's the deal with the entire Horse Apples episode replacing Mathematics? Hopefully it will air next week (should be the season finale)? A: They have the mathematics scheduled for next week.

It would now appear to me as though the material shown in the "Mathematics" previewes in the week leading up to "Horse Apples" is not real, just a fake-out to heighten the realism of the "last-minute decision" to show "Horse Apples," (or perhaps will be shown in an episode next season). Furthermore, the show's official site at MTV2.com still lists the "Horse Apples" episode as being called "Mathematics." Anyone else think we should change it back to "Mathematics" until a reliable source calls it something else?

The official title, according to the DVD, is Mathematics. Let's keep it that way. FreakmanJ 07:08, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Opinions[edit]

We need to delete all personal opinions on the page, people have been posting it for the episode capsules.Slickidiot 17:34, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Episodes[edit]

How about we start making separate pages for each episode. I have started the first two. Help would be greatly appreciated and the preferred wiki name should be http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NameofEpisode_(Wonder_Showzen_Episode) Slickidiot 17:33, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Season 3?[edit]

Anyone heard if this has been picked up for a 3rd season, and when it might air?

From the look of it, they spent the last 5 episodes whining that the American south sucked, then the last episode was complaining that there was nothing good on television ending with Clarence essentially suiciding. I doubt they will be back, which is a shame. They probably would have been if they managed to make more episodes like 1x05 and 2x01. --Kugamazog 02:19, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think it will be back. Along with the ratings it receives from the over watcher with Andy Milonakis, Wonder Showzen has its own fan base. I doubt MTV2 will take this from us at this point in time. Slickidiot 13:22, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, it wasn't the "SOUTH" it was MIDDLE AMERICA. Meaning the midwest and south.

I think Clarence's "suicide" was kinda random weirdness, not something to be viewed as having a lot of meaning. This show doesn't exactly seem to be the type of show that's particularly concerned with continuity like that. The last two episodes were kinda strange, but I wouldn't count them out yet. Personally, though, I hope MTV2 decides not to renew so that similarly Viacom-owned Comedy Central can pick it up. New episodes premiering Wednesdays at 10:30 right after South Park would make for a good hour.

Personally, I'd rather Adult Swim pick it up. They're allegedly big fans of the show, and I think they'd give PFFR creative liscense to do whatever the hell they want, and would still push it like crazy. Plus, if it were on Adult Swim, it would be on at a better time, since its Friday at 9:30 time sucked. But what do I know. FreakmanJ 07:11, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The fan site www.wonder-showzen.com are confirming MTV have axed the series.

The Wonder Showzen Kids[edit]

I wonder if it's worth noting that some of the kids aren't just "kids off the street" a la Sesame Street but in fact professional actors (if in fact they aren't all professional child actors). The redhead kid who does Beat Kids has a pretty lengthy list of credits at the IMDb, for example. 23skidoo 03:40, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Added special infobox[edit]

I created a WonderShowzen infobox with the list of episodes for that season. Season 1, and Season 2. I also moved the episode list to a seperate page, I think it's necessary for spacing out the main article, and it's useful for the infobox.Cardboardboxman 12:00, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES?[edit]

DUHH, its not that scary. They do it all the time in the show. ALL THE TIME. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.208.73.163 (talk) 00:28, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Special Owesome Squad?[edit]

I've seen both DVD sets of this show, and I have a question: In the first season set, there's a preview of the second in the form of a cartoon called "S.O.S.: Special Owesome Squad"; this cartoon doesn't appear in the second season set, so was it created just for the DVD, or was it actually included in any of the episodes? If the latter, which one?

Wrightaway (talk) 17:32, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There should be an episode by episode transcription[edit]

The episodes should maybe be chronologically listed, I think one episode was called "Police". Not sure about the others.--Cymbelmineer (talk) 12:55, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think you might be looking for List of Wonder Showzen episodes. - Kollision (talk) 16:28, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Parental Warning Voice-Over[edit]

I'm fairly certain that the opening voiceover is actually "Don't eat my baby! I sound like a lady! I think I'm going crazy!". I wonder if this is even worth correcting since it is such a small part of the show. Thoughts? A Laughton (talk) 05:29, 28 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reruns??!![edit]

RERUNS??!! If any network owned by Viacom is willing to air reruns of Wonder Showzen, it should be Spike TV, not MTV, nor Comedy Central. Wonder Showzen is a very raunchy show. Spike TV is a much better place for raunchy adult shows. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.240.235.141 (talk) 18:04, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Someone started a petition[edit]

Not even that suprising. Is this sort of thing notable enough to be included in the article? I'm a wiki-newb so I wasn't sure. https://www.change.org/p/john-lee-and-vernon-chatman-of-pffr-bring-back-wonder-showzen 134.129.137.108 (talk) 17:55, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unrelated link in "See also"[edit]

I deleted a link to Don't Hug Me I'm Scared under "See Also" that had been added in an anonymous edit without any description because the link had no connection to the subject of the article. I explained why I deleted the link in the summary for my edit. Someone reverted my change and added the link back without providing an explanation for why the link belongs. Is this vandalism?
