Rinf[edit]

This is advertising puff for rinf.com, a minor site. (Google says about 56 pages link to it.) It's primarily a portal, but does have its own material -- a lot of the free "ebooks" are of the "make money fast" genre. If it softpedals the make-money-fast and pseudoscience stuff, and expands the archive of genuinely interesting material to the point where it's linked from a number of popular sites, it may become something like Disinfo and thus notable; till that time, it isn't notable. -- Hoary 02:36, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)

The site contains more Magick Ebooks than any others, which are free to download, some of the computer ebooks are "make money fast" but are free. The site produces original artwork and articles, hosts the Infinity Factory which vanished from the web years ago. - M

  • Might be a Keep if this could be rewritten as non-puff, minority interest. Charles Matthews 06:53, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • less puff?
  • How does this sound instead?

"Rinf.com: Underground Gateway is a non profit alternative media streaming site which features daily updates and is aiming to become one the largest media archives on the internet. The sites original aim was to promote creative subversives while providing underground news items. Rinf.com quickly became an online community and now the site offers video downloads, audio files, live radio stations, blogs, chat rooms, full ebooks, message boards, art work, poetry and articles. Visitors are invited to join in or to browse through the hundreds of media files on offer. Anyone can have full access to the site for free and can sign up for the mindtrash news list if you want to promote a special event or project."

  • Delete. Non notable. --Gtabary 13:03, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Can you tell me what notable is? I'm new to this and would like to Keep my site listed here. Or what needs to change in order for that to happen?
  • Delete. To all appearances this is an unnotable website. If the article is changed in such a way that I am proven wrong, I will change my vote. Indrian 19:02, Dec 6, 2004 (UTC)
  • Ok changes have been made, I've listed some of the major sites that link to Rinf and displayed the overall link popularity (although this doesn't include Google links for some reason). I hope this is enough to keep the site. I have also changed Rinf itself, to be more in keeping with sites you index.
  • Delete Wiki doesn't list websites. Not yet notable. Wyss 00:22, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • ok I've taken the page down.
