Mistaken AfD and removed speedy tag[edit]

In the course of speedy deletion patrol, I came across a version of this article that had been (a) rendered meaningless by the removal of all sensible content by an IP editor, then (b) tagged for speedy deletion by an editor with whom I completely agreed. I deleted the page, then was about to delete the talk page when I noted that the article had already passed AfD in 2005. In a brief moment of complete ineptitude, I nominated the article for AfD a second time -- then I looked deeper into it and restored an earlier version of the article that made sense (based on the supporting material I found via Google), so I reversed my AfD and removed all trace of its presence. Yes, I feel like an idiot. However, I think we have a useful and sensible article now. If anyone wants to point out a process whereby I could have reversed the AfD more easily, I would be happy to hear it; I just hope I haven't caused anyone but me any extra trouble.
