I erased the mention that "though of Czech origin, he published his work in German or French". It indicates that he did not published in Czech. Of course, Bedřich Hrozný published his work in French or German (every scientist from relatively small nation does not afford to publish exclusively in his mother tongue), but it does not mean that he did not published in Czech. Here is some of his work which he published in Czech: Nejstarší dějiny Přední Asie, Indie a Kréty; V říši půlměsíce. Cesty a výkopy v Turecku; Vlastní životopis v kostce; Stručný přehled mých vědeckých objevů.

Untitled[edit]

In 1906 150 km of Ankara Germain expedition found the archive of Hittite Kings

I am unable to extract any meaning of the above. The text is probably corrupt.

I have corrected the above, but I am still confused by:

'in non-famous language'

I suspect that the "non-famous language" was actually an "unknown language." -- Smerdis of Tlön 23:28, 16 Nov 2003 (UTC)

We are told[edit]

We are told that Hrozny deciphered the ancient Hittite language. There were many mistakes in his effort. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.53.53.170 (talk) 12:04, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

H. Craig Melchert says about 15% of Hrozny's work was incorrect at one point. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.53.53.170 (talk) 12:19, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Melchert implies that a further 5% was partly wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.53.53.170 (talk) 12:31, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Just like Hrozný, we all make mistakes. So did the editor of the picture concerning the decipherment of Hittite: It says "wa-d-da-ar" where it sould say "wa-a-da-ar". The sign indicates an "a" not a "d". Therefore, I corrected the picture and tried to upload it, but was unable to to so. It says "We could not determine whether this file is suitable for Wikimedia Commons. Please only upload photos that you took yourself with your camera, or see what else is acceptable. See the guide to make sure the file is acceptable and learn how to upload it on Wikimedia Commons." Any advice?
