Heather was married to Jeff Weber, who was the brother (well, half-brother, really) of Rick Weber, Laura's stepfather. That would make Heather Laura's step-aunt, I guess.  :) Monica was also married to Rick, I think, and Bobbie had an affair with him. Rick was Steve Hardy's son, though he took his mother's husband's last name. It is POSSIBLE that Heather is Elizabeth's mother, because we know that she is Jeff's daughter, but they have never told us who her mother is. RickK 20:32, Aug 5, 2004 (UTC)

Thanks, Mike, but I think my note on VfD must have been misleading, I'm already corresponding with Ralph. I meant only to complain about having had a comment deleted where I called for people to tell him how much he would be missed. Not that I want him to get spammed, but this was right after he stormed out, when I still thought it might be possible to get him to change his mind. Today the italian newspapers (at least their internet sites) were filled with news of the battle between Al Sadr militians and out troops in Irak. Except for these bad guys everybody loves Italy, I don't think that everybody deserves an article on wikipedia.

You guessed it right, those three newspapers are regional and have a rather small circulation. Moreover, all three seems to be more or less in the same region (north Adriatic coast), so it must be some kind of local event. Major newspapers didn't carry the story. Alfio 10:38, 7 Aug 2004 (UTC)

I don't understand you and Lucky's reaction to this guy - surely redirecting the movie to one of the actors in it is far less useful than having a substub about it. I also don't think deleting them on sight is a great idea; as I said on the Village Pump, the worst he is doing is adding stubs, it's not vandalism or trolling (unless other things he is doing can be considered that - admittedly you guys are more involved in this than me). I think maybe instead of treating him as an enemy, you could just fix whatever he adds, even just by sticking a stub notice on it (as opposed to a speedy delete notice). I thought it was funny, too...

...but I now realize that it's sort of an in-joke, not a very in in-joke, but an in-joke, and that's always dangerous. Plus, you understand and I understand that the anon's sockpuppetry was serious and mine was a joke... but to someone who's not tuned in it could certainly appear that I was setting a bad example.

Ardonik acknowledged that it was sufficiently obvious that he should have seen it, and I'm relieved about that.

Still, if I had a nickel for every time that someone on the Internet failed to understand that I was joking, I'd have at least $0.55 or $0.60 by now. Gotta be really careful.

I feel your pain.

I sure do feel the same way you do. Heck, I tried cleaning up the Irizzary article myself. I was going to add the names of his kids, but I had to log off for a few moments.

The fact remains that we shouldn't have to be the ones to be caretakers of these articles. If the only new contributions this person makes are the same stubby little entries and the only edits made involve removal of existing information, we have an insect in the grain who is disrupting the normal ebb and flow of this site. As the World Turns

As an avid watcher of as the world turns, I was just wondering what sort of things I could contribute to the page? Maybe landmark storylines, current actors, or something like that? I always think the best way to improve these niche articles is to get all the people from that niche to find wikipedia. Imagine a marvel-comics nerd group revamping our marvel page ;)

Anyway, you mentioned that one should...mention here. So I am.

On Garbage Articles

I'm glad you appreciated my comments.

I've done nothing on the B-Movie Bandit's articles because I'm not especially knowledgeable in films and have more than enough garbage to clear up in areas where I do know something. The more I do, the more I find of article after article of misinformation, often laid down by the same editors who knew no better. One gets to recognize the names. Unfortunately it takes almost no time to throw down a garbage stub but may sometimes take two or three hours to create a good article on the same material, or even an accurate stub on that material (especially when the inaccuracy turns out to be a common error). So I sympathize very much with your problems.

I so often find that the original article was useless and should never have existed. It is annying when "true believers" cite such articles as an example of how useless pieces of garbage can "grow" into good articles. The articles don't "grow" by themsleves. It would be more accurate to describe the process as trashing the original garbage and starting fresh, even if some words of the original are used from the convenience of their being there.

I too have never seen the actress listed with her middle name, but I put her article under Michelle Ingrid Williams because there is another Michelle Williams, the singer from Destinty's Child.
