Off to the right is a first draft of a template I coded for use in expressway articles. (The formatting was shamelessly stolen from WikiProject Computer and Video Games.)

Transport safety

I find next to no information on transport safety in China in the articles under this category. Isn't this a rather glaring omission? Mostly I see articles with link to yet nonexistent pages about new roads, railways and bridges. It is almost as if the project has been scrubbed by the Dept of Propaganda in Beijing. {{S-line}} termini templates for CRH under CR prefix

When editing Cangzhou Railway Station, I noticed that with the termini templates to use for train station successor boxes ({{S-line}}), it is set up that China Rail and China Rail High-speed are different systems. But some of the templates with the CR prefix are for high-speed lines (e.g. {{S-line/CR left/Chengdu–Dujiangyan High-Speed}}), and some of the CR and CRH templates are duplicates (e.g. {{S-line/CR left/Beijing–Tianjin Intercity}} and {{S-line/CRH left/Beijing–Tianjin Intercity Railway}}). Railway line/station names - Jiaozhou East or Jiaozhoudong, Beijing-Shanghai railway or Jinghu Railway?

The name of Chinese railway lines in Chinese tend to be in the format [City]-[City] Railway, where [City] is the one-character abbreviation of the terminals. For example, the railway line between Beijing (Jing) and Shanghai (Hu) is called the Jinghu Railway. While most of the one-character abbreviations are just the first character of the place name, the more commonly used abbreviations tend to be arbitrary, and not very useful for readers of the English Wikipedia. As of January 2015, Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(Chinese)#Railways prefers using the full names of the terminals, for example, Beijing-Shanghai Railway. However, since August 2012, Chinese railway line categories on the English Wikipedia does not have a consistent way of naming categories. Moreover, some railway lines are actually listed with both naming conventions, adding to the confusion.

Wanted to bring this up again because today somebody changed Template:Qingdao–Taiyuan High-Speed Railway today to use station names like Jinanxi Railway Station instead of Jinan West Railway Station. (That is, when there's a cardinal name in the station name, use Hanyu Pinyin, instead of equivalent English.) Wikipedia articles tend to use the latter style, but China Rail tickets and signage use the former style.--Kakurady (talk) 16:36, 28 December 2016 (UTC)

Chongqingbei CRT stations

Hello. I'm confused about Wikipedia's coverage of Chongqing Rail Transit stations around Chongqing North railway station. We have a short article South Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station station, about the metro station on CRT Line 3 and the new Line 10. There now appears to be a separate station North Square on Line 10 (and the planned Line 4), but North Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station redirects to South Square. Please can anyone confirm the correct situation and perhaps help out with a new stub article? Thanks, Certes (talk) 14:30, 5 January 2018 (UTC)

Shenfang query

Hello again. Shengfang Railway Station redirects to Shenfang railway station. Is Shengfang (on the Tianjin–Baoding intercity railway) the same place as Shenfang (on the Ningbo–Taizhou–Wenzhou railway)? It doesn't seem to be marked as an interchange. No, these are not the same station. You are correct, it shouldn't be redirected as such. Shengfang (with pinyin tones, its sheng4fang1, or 胜芳 in Chinese) is in Hebei, which is nowhere near Shenfang (shen1fang1, or 绅坊) in Zhejiang. I think we should leave the Shengfang railway station as a red link until the article is created. Shen is not the same as Sheng so it is not like an alternative spelling either. Thanks. Xiamen West

Another query: Xiamen West Railway Station redirects to Xiamen North railway station. Hangzhou–Fuzhou–Shenzhen passenger-dedicated railway suggests that they are separate stations, though the map doesn't match the table. Which is correct? The map in the infobox on Hangzhou–Fuzhou–Shenzhen passenger-dedicated railway is correct. There is a mainline that goes from Fuzhou to Xiamen North to Shenzhen, and then theres a branch line that branches off from Xiamen North with three stations: Xinglin, Xiamen Gaoqi, and Xiamen. This branch line existed before the new passenger-dedicated railway was built. There's no station known today as Xiamen West. Looking at some Chinese sources online, the confusion probably stems from the fact that prior to the construction of this new railway (when the present-day Xiamen North station didn't exist), Xiamen Gaoqi station was known as Xiamen North station. During the planning phase, the present-day Xiamen North station was known for a time as Xiamen West station. But when the new line came into operation, Xiamen North became Xiamen Gaoqi and Xiamen West became Xiamen North. So the redirect is probably correct, as it is redirecting an old name onto a present name, and there is no other Xiamen West station today. I have edited the table on Hangzhou–Fuzhou–Shenzhen passenger-dedicated railway to correct it.

Also seems like when the Xiamen North railway station article was created, it was referring to the old station, now known today as Xiamen Gaoqi. Heights^{(Want to talk?)} 22:52, 10 January 2018 (UTC)

RATP Dev Transdev Asia

Hi, I am curious about the operations of RATP Dev Transdev Asia (RDTA) in mainland China so I can expand on that article. However, I cannot find much information especially about the bus operations in Nanjing and surrounding cities. All I know is, the predecessors of RDTA, Veolia Transport Chinese Limited (VTCL), had a joint venture (49%) with Nanjing Zhongbei (51%) in 2008; then in 2009, VTCL share was passed to Veolia Transport RATP Asia (VTRA), which is now known as RDTA. Initially, media releases from 2008/2009 such as this one said that the bus operation includes cities in Nanjing, Ma'anshan, Anqing etc. But now (Feb 2018), the RDTA website says they only operate buses in Anqing. I cannot find any information on what happened in between. Does anyone here know what happened (whether they still operate in those cities or whether they passed it to another operator?) or if there are any links to news articles about VTRA/RDTA (both English and Chinese)?
