id vs class[edit]

Having more than one item on a page with the same id tag is not valid xml. The automatically generated table of contents on pages already uses id=toc, so using it for anything else is not appropiate. However, multiple items can use the same class. If you don't like how the template appears, request that the global stylesheet be changed or change your own stylesheet, but avoiding subjective "ugliness" is not a good reason to break the page in standards compliant browsers. Yeah, I forgot about that (I copied all the style stuff from {{MLB}} without thinking about it. (I've been doing quite a lot of mindless work today so my brain is mush) How can we get the same colors as I had without changing the global css? --Vik Reykja 06:53, 7 Mar 2005 (UTC)
