It'd probably be best to change the references to morphological operators so that the links refer to pages that won't require disambiguation. Perhaps something like 'Erosion (image processing)'.--Rethunk

In my opinion no way it should be merged with mathematical morphology! They refer to two totally different things. Zagyvasag 19:58, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since its foundation, the development of mathematical morphology has been driven mainly by image processing problems. Most publications on mathematical morphology are linked to image processing. Therefore keeping two articles will cause a lot of unnecessary redundancy. In my opinion, they should be merged.
