After discussion on Talk:List of dog breeds I'm not sure what to put in the table under "Classification". Previously I would have put "Not currently recognised by the major registries", but perhaps this isn't a good idea? I think we need something to explain why there is nothing listed, perhaps miss out the word "currently" which might imply recognition is a goal? Yes, I was going to write to you about this, last night, but for some reason decided that sleep was a better idea!

The problem with even writing 'not recognized' without the 'currently' is that there is an implication that this is a bad thing. Can we not put 'Independent' with a link to the classifying club? For example, for a well-established breed such as this one, Classification: Independent, Mini Foxie Club of Australia, Inc. (MFCA) Breed Standard: http://www.minifoxie.org/breed.html

Similarly, Classification: Independent, English Jack Russell Club of America, Koolie Club of Australia--you get the picture, with a link to their breed standard if they have one (although, I suggest that if they DON'T have one, the fact that they're 'under development' should be indicated in the article!) yes, that sounds fine to me - I've added that to this article (I'd already linked that standard in the table too, so that works well). Yes, when we lived on the farm, our Jasmine would sneak out next door and chase the neighbour's horse. Bit alarming to see a 400kg horse run away from a 3.5kg dog!
