Pikmin 3[edit]

Hey Vidgmchtr. I'm not reverting your edits on Pikmin 3 to be a jerk or anything, I'm doing it because I believe that it's against Wikipedia policy. I'm not denying that Flying Pikmin have Onions in the game, I could sort of see them in the trailer, but "I can see them" doesn't "prove" it. A person who did not know what Pikmin was would not be able to identify it as easily as you or I can (I actually did not even notice it until you mentioned it). This means that with this video alone the statement is not easily verifiable. My stance on articles is to make each one accessible, and since verifying this source requires some previous knowledge on the subject, I don't think it's an appropriate source for this statement. Until we can find a reliable source, like IGN, that explicitly states "Flying Pikmin have Onions", we should leave it out until more information becomes available and it's easier to prove. I've held the same stance on discussions with Nintendo Land and Paper Mario: Sticker Star before their releases. I hope you hear me out. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 03:21, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I understood, I just felt that the visual proof was enough until you mentioned that someone with no knowledge of the series would have no idea, that's why I stopped re-reverting them. I personally wouldn't consider IGN to be a very good source though, considering how they speculate more than any other game news site. -Vidgmchtr (talk) 05:17, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
