Untitled[edit]

Although I am not an expert on this man, I am a native speaker of English living in Austria and when I found this article I decided to correct it. What I have done is basically to remove German terms like "EWR" from the text. In this case, for example, "EWG" would mean nothing to an English reader. "EEC" is the English term. In places the grammar and syntax also needed altering. I have also fixed the Germanisms (e.g. "communist break down" - which is not very idiomatic - changed to "fall of communism", the widely-used English phrase) and anglicised some of the political terms so they are understandable to a reader who has no foreknowledge of the German language or of Austrian politics. Some of the links to other articles needed reformatting, e.g. the country names where the adjectival n has been added on at the end instead of being put into the link itself. I think it is an improvement on an already interesting article! - --Garethhamilton 20:59, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
