Bringing to RM for more visibility. (Technical request permalink) — Andy W. (talk ·ctb) 01:17, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for adding this template, Andy. I agree a more high-profile notice than my entry above was needed for this proposed move, giving people the opportunity to comment. --ChetvornoTALK 07:15, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support if the title is capitalized, oppose if it's not and turns out to be written "golden age of radio" (this is happening more and more on Wikipedia). Randy Kryn 15:34, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support with the same reasoning as Randy Kryn. Anarchyte (work | talk) 12:29, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Jean Shepherd had a Vaudeville or Hollywood background before radio???[edit]

Currently the main text claims that "Radio attracted top comedy talents from vaudeville and Hollywood" and lists many examples, among them Jean Shepherd. Shepherd's page has no mention of any vaudeville experience -- not too surprising since Shepherd wasn't born until 1921. Nor does it mention Hollywood. Shepherd's first acting credit listed at IMDB is in 1954, by which time he was well-established in radio. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:98A:4100:36A0:68E0:FAAA:FCC5:4F6A (talk) 02:24, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Moreover, his uncredited portrayal of "Man at Party" would be hardly be seen as making him a "top comedy talent." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:98A:4100:36A0:68E0:FAAA:FCC5:4F6A (talk) 02:27, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
