Based on wiktionary:Dirigiste and Google's spelling suggestion, I moved the page here. However, I have no idea if the page's contents are right or not, or if more can actually be said about this. - RedWordSmith 05:31, Jan 20, 2005 (UTC)

At http://www.thefreedictionary.com/dirigiste it gives quite a different definition:

 1.	Directed by a central authority; as, a dirigiste economy; with respect to economics, opposed to free-market.

The Oxford English Dictionary gives dirigisme: The policy of state direction and control in economic and social matters. Also transf. Hence dirigiste, dirigistic adjs.

That is, dirigiste should just point to the dirigisme page as a synonym.
