  • Redirect to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. I can see a minor value to redirect instead of deleting. A comment about VRock, in a context where its tie to the game is clear, could happen to be separated from that context. Somewhere, sometime, someone comes upon the term "VRock" and can't tell what game it's from, or perhaps can't tell it's from a game at all. Wikipedia to the rescue.       • Your argument has merit, but I'd like Wikipedia to be a site people visit as a first resort to get information. For example, if you Google "VH1" you get more than a million hits. Instead of sifting through them, you can open VH1 on Wikipedia and get (one hopes) the important information, not slanted to any one viewpoint, organized, with key external links. I'd like to accommodate the person who sees a reference to "VRock" and thinks it might be something like VH1, and so prefers to start with Wikipedia instead of Google. (Sometimes I think our slogan should be "Wikipedia: We use Google so you don't have to.") JamesMLane 22:28, 4 Oct 2004 (UTC)
        • Personally I think that's a rather tall order -- remember what google does -- it merely points people at helpful information that's stored elsewhere. It's widely said and acknowledged that Wikipedia is not a web directory. However, it seems even worse to me to go beyond that -- having Wikipedia aiming to have all the information on the web within itself. Keeping the scope roughly on par with being an encyclopedia seems like a good enough thing to me. Should people be afraid of Google?   • Delete mentioning this on the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City page is one thing, devoting a page to VRock itself is worthless. There are plenty of webpages dedicated to the internal details of various games I don't see why an Encyclopedia should devote a page to it. The game is well known and I can see the point in having Grand Theft Auto: Vice City but not a page for VRock. Should I dig inside Neuromancer and devote a page to every reference inside it?   • Should definately be kept, each soundtrack of Vice City has distinctive personalities. If it is deleted, it would be equivalent to deleting England as it is part of Europe, or deleting Windows because it is a kind of OS.

  • Redirect, since the only real info in this article is wrong: there's no way it runs for 77 hours (the author may mean 77 minutes, which sounds realistic). The creation of a radio stations section in the GTA:VC article would be nice, though. Everyking 01:49, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)

  • For the record, all of the GTA:VC stations (afaik) are included on List of fictional radio stations. Just in case anyone thinks there is a big encyclopedic disservice done to fake radio stations in video games, or anything. (I've been debating adding Mrs. Finklegruber's Homemade from Streets of Sim City to that list... And d'oh! No one's added KSIM!) - KeithTyler 07:20, Oct 6, 2004 (UTC)
  • Either Delete and merge any usefull info with the entry in the List of fictional radio stations, or make a single article for all the stations in GTA. The ammount of effort, humor, originality and spirit that went to it does deserve some notice. But a single page should be enough for all of the games.
