"Some researchers have noted that Merovech, the Frankish chieftain, may have been the namesake of a certain god or demigod honored by the Franks prior to their conversion to Christianity, a being described as part human, part bull and part sea-creature" Does this sound like an authentic Germanic deity to anyone? "Some researchers" is a smokescreen for the passive voice of non-attribution, Wikipedia's tragic flaw. Wetman 17:00, 18 Mar 2004 (UTC)
