Assessment[edit]

I have assessed this article as Start Class, as it contains more detail and organization than would be expected of a Stub, although it requires more referencing and in-line citations. I have assessed this as low importance, as I do not feel that many people outside of hockey fans would be familiar with the subject of the article. Cheers, CP 15:06, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Most hockey fans over 30 years of age, have heard of Ted Lindsay. However, I question why he is listed as a prominent person of Kirkland Lake, Ontario when he only played a few years of minor hockey there? What did he do for our community those years to warrant such praise? Kirklandlake (talk) 05:37, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

To set the record straight.Ted Lindsey was not traded to Chicago for starting up the union.he was traded for second guessing my father(Jimmie Skinner) on the bench behind his back during games. On more than one occassion trainer Lefty Wilson would notify Skinner that Lindsey was telling younger players the opposite of what he had wanted done on the ice.During the off season,General manager Adams phone Skinner and asked him if he wanted Lindsey on his team next season.Skinner's reply was,"If he's on the team next season You can find another coach Jack! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.41.205.101 (talk) 08:40, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We would need reliable sources to actually show that. So far there are plenty that talk about him being traded because of the union issues. A coach would have been fired long before one of the stars on the team. So its unlikely that he would have been traded because the coach didn't like him. He wasn't some 4th liner. That being said, its entirely possible that Adams asked Skinner his opinion because he was considering trading him because of the union issues. -DJSasso (talk) 19:15, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
