Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Power Pack. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Article overlap[edit]

A lot of the information covered in the kids' individual articles appears to also be covered here. I think it might be advisable to redirect/selectively merge their pages to this article. Namenamenamenamename (talk) 05:37, 25 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Merge discussion with Alex Power[edit]

Quick history:

  • June 2018: User:Namenamenamenamename boldly redirected Alex Power to this article with the edit summary "content covered here is covered on Power Pack page as well"
  • May 3, 2019: User:Bearbro123 restored the page without an edit summary
  • May 8, 2019: User:ferret reverted Bearbro with the edit summary "Restore redirect, no reason for restore given, no improvements"
  • May 8, 2019: User:Jhenderson777 restored the page with the summary "agree to disagree. I feel like if one Power Pack character is merged then all of them should be which aren’t."
  • May 8, 2019: User:Drmies reverted JHenderson saying "feelings are great, but on Wikipedia we prefer arguments"
  • May 8, 2019: JHenderson restored, then self-reverted to avoid 3RR. He said "That is a lousy and uncivilized excuse. Also if you actually use google then you would know he is indeed notable enough for inclusion. Also he if he is a redirect he does not belong on Power Pack"
  • May 9, 2019: JHenderson asked for opinions at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Comics#Alex Power notability. He indicated Alex was the most notable member of the team, and that 1) the other members should be discussed as well and 2) he doesn't feel Power Pack is the right target for the character if a merge/redirect is done.
  • May 9, 2019: I restored the page and put up merge templates so we could discuss the merger/redirect. Argento Surfer (talk) 12:44, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I was reverting Bearbro123, who has been disruptively un-redirecting many non-notable character and film articles for a while now while refusing to communicate. I left him a final warning at the same time. I would note that Alex Power contains not a single reliable secondary source. Unless that can be addressed, the article should be returned to a redirect. -- ferret (talk) 12:50, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the additional context. Argento Surfer (talk) 12:51, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
One final note, I have no strong opinion on WHERE to redirect it. The list of marvel comics characters would work too. -- ferret (talk) 12:53, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose redirecting Alex Power to this target. The character has experienced significant development outside of the Power Pack team. He meets my criteria for an entry at List of Marvel Comics characters: P. Any content forking should be removed or trimmed from this article. Argento Surfer (talk) 12:51, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Not a single secondary source: for every Wikipedia article outside of superhero stuff that means non-notability and thus deletion. Merge it. Drmies (talk) 14:19, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge - no indication that Alex Power is independently notable; neutral on the target. Frankly I'd have preferred this to be an AfD rather than merge discussion because formalized consensus there would be binding in a way few merge discussions are.
