Following retirement, he became the oyakata of the Kokonoe-beya.

What does this mean?--Sjv27 22:41, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Alright, alright. I'll try to put it more plainly. Must have been in a hurry. Sorry! Fg2 10:18, Mar 31, 2005 (UTC)

It's a lot better now. Thanks! --Sjv27 11:16, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Literally translated, 千代富士 means in English "10,000 generations of Fuji.". Actually "千" is only 1,000 220.247.101.161 13:23, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. That's been corrected now. Pawnkingthree 13:28, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Picture[edit]

Is there no free photo available for Chiyonofuji?XinJeisan (talk) 09:38, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Afraid not. Although now he's returning to the judging department, maybe someone could get a snap of him on shimpan duty at the next tournament.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 12:33, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kyujo highlighting[edit]

The table is a bit ambiguous with the gray highlighting for both non-makuuchi and kyujo tournaments. Simply adding a listing in the table key for kyujo might clarify since there are two different grays used. I suspect this is an issue across rikishi since many will have a few kyujo toward the end of their careers as injuries take their toll.

In fact, having a "demoted from makuuchi" entry makes little sense for yokozuna, though leaving it there for consistency sake is perhaps advisable. Moretz (talk) 10:20, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
