A "boner" is a kind of kitchen knife. It's not even slang.

A "boner" is also slang for "a difficult question". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.124.116.101 (talk) 09:15, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wiktionary[edit]

Wiktionary definition? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wetman (talkcontribs) 20:26, 19 November 2004 (UTC)[reply]

is the same as the one here. All three parts are covered. Ironic I think. But anyway. I say we try to clean up the page and follow the history of the word instead of limiting ourselves to its definition.

I included a reference to a book called "The Humor of Humor" written by Evan Esar. I don't know why it was deleted, but hey. What do I know? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.222.111.21 (talk) 03:12, 19 January 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Batman and Robin boner[edit]

What is the definition of boner in the context of this Batman comic book? See: [1].

Those would be blunder, I think; but it is horribly funny to read those now, when most are more familiar with the slang term for erection.... — Catherine\talk 01:39, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It was used in the context of blunder, but I suspect that the writers were aware of the more suggestive definition, otherwise, why would they use the word so many times? This was the perfect double entendre User:ComradeSephiroth —Preceding unsigned comment added by Comrade Sephiroth (talkcontribs) 08:33, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I updated the link for you. I love the sixth block how Joker keeps saying the word and everyone looks uncomfortable! Lazagna (talk) 11:51, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Polish[edit]

Translation request from Polish. --210.128.247.147 10:10, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I translated as best I could, then move the names to Boner family and List of people by name: Bone-, as they don't really belong on this disambiguation page. Thank you! — Catherine\talk 11:55, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lock Requested[edit]

Crap like that belongs at Encyclopedia Dramatica, but for the love of god, not here. That crap wouldn't fly on ED.72.44.13.220 (talk) 03:01, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Aren't boner and ED mutually exclusive? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.180.240.253 (talk) 06:18, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Having a boner for something[edit]

I added "extreme interest in a person thing or idea" to the slang section because of statements like:

"Americans have a boner for tax cuts" or "I used to have a boner for noisy garage bands" etc. etc... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Comrade Sephiroth (talkcontribs) 08:29, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
