Utcursch[edit]

Vote here (19/0/0) ending 12:04 21 February 2005 (UTC)

Utcursch joined Wikipedia in March 2004 and now has over 3750 edits. He is a very active contributor to India-related articles and regularly helps with all kinds of maintenance tasks; he is a VfD regular and spends a lot of his time welcoming/helping new users. In my opinion he makes a fine admin! jni 12:04, 14 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
A. Dealing with vandalism, deleting pages, protecting and unprotecting pages, blocking and unblocking IP addresses are some of the regular admin tasks that I will be helping with, if given admin privilages. Also, I would like to be the face of Wikipedia - people look up to admin users. Although I am a moderate deletionist, Angela is my idol.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. Bhopal, Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar are some of the articles I am proud of . I have created most of the content on these pages. Bhopal is really special, because many other users also contributed to it and made a good article out of it.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and will deal with it in the future?
A. I am a harmonious editor, so edit wars and me are strangers to each other. However, I've had some arguments like the one at Indian literature, where User:LordSuryaofShropshire deleted an entire section calling it "ridiculous" and I opposed. However, User:LordSuryaofShropshire became inactive, so the discussion ended automatically.
