  • Even less than a dictionary definition. - Andre Engels 10:10, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Comment. I'm supposed to be at work now, so my hands are tied, but if anyone else speaks Dutch: try [1] According to that, Cempoala was the capital of the Totonacs, a small Mayan culture. (Lots of good stuff on that site.) Definitely doesn't Google as a "type of Indian leader", though (and I wonder whether the article on Hernán Cortés that links to it knows this). • Delete: A new article should be written, without this content, by those who know the Mayans. I'm pretty sure that the link from Cortes is due to that, and not the Indian healer (healer of India or of the American Indians?). Geogre 15:07, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
    • Keep: The article has been entirely rewritten and is now well done. Geogre 14:10, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete Looks more like a place than a type of person. Possibly inaccurate stub. Wyss 23:50, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. It was an important MesoAmerican city with a population of 25,000 to 30,000 and kingdom of the Totnacs. It was the biggest MesoAmerican city on the Gulf of Mexico. It was the first major city that Cotes visited on arriving in Mexico and was an important ally. Current inaccurate substub replaced and Cortes article will be corrected. • Keep and close vote, as the article to be voted on no longer meets criteria for deletion. Kudos to Capitalistroadster. JRM 12:29, 2004 Dec 7 (UTC)
