Incorrect labels[edit]

The image labels are wrong:

  • What it says is the Caspian is the Black Sea.
  • What it says is the Dead is the Caspian Sea.

You're right. I'll appreciate it if the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea are properly connected in the image. Both of them are a part of the Atlantic Ocean, in the same sense as the Red Sea is a part of the Indian Ocean, and the Caspian Sea is just a lake. We don't need a sea or a lake actually; we need only oceans. - TAKASUGI Shinji 09:40, 2005 Mar 25 (UTC)
It'done. That's why I did the imge in the first place: I h no good ocean map in my house, that's why I couldn't find which exctly was the caspin again. ny further changes, nyone can feel free to download the , while wikipedi does not accept svg. It's ilustrator editable. --Alexandre Van de Sande 15:24, 30 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Great. Perhaps it can be further improved in the following ways:
  1. The Southern Ocean was officially approved in 2000.
  2. The line between New Guinea and Alaska, which separates the South China Sea from the Pacific, is not correct. Actually, no sea is necessary other than the five oceans.
What do you think? I will try it myself. - TAKASUGI Shinji 18:16, 2005 Mar 30 (UTC)
I may be wrong, but doesn't the Arctic Ocean start much further north, and reach more around the world. What's shown as the Arctic Ocean there is more like the north Atlantic, I think, or at least it reaches into it. I know, at least, that Iceland is considered to be in the north Atlantic Ocean, but it's shown as being in the Arctic ocean there. --Sterio 6 July 2005 19:49 (UTC)

This image should show the Southern Ocean. Ardric47 02:06, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, showing the Southern Ocean is a must. The South China Sea boundary is also odd, and unnecessary. The Arctic Ocean doesn't "reach around the world", but the boundaries shown here are incorrect. -- Avenue 10:33, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's a great image but I really don't like the representation of New Zealand, which looks nothing like it. Rather than try to represent the three islands, I think the two major islands should be shown with a little more definition -GringoInChile 13:34, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
