Claim in Trivia section[edit]

Les Ferdinand has for many years been thought to have been connected with the vandalism of the Blue Peter garden in 1984, however he has always rejected these claims

Some citation should be provided for this, along with an explanation of where these claims actually came from. 217.34.39.123 13:04, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I distinctly remember him admitting this many years later on Football Focus but how can a television programme be cited? 80.195.166.92 18:24, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In a 2017 BBC interview with Ferdinand he explained how he was filming a TV show and the host asked him several times if he and Dennis Wise had been involved in the vandalism while they were both at school. Eventually as a joke Ferdinand said he might have helped someone over the wall, but wasn't at liberty to say who. The next day the story was front page news in the tabloids. Ferdinand has spoken to representatives of Blue Peter, and they say they know who was actually responsible (and it wasn't Ferdinand or Wise), but no action against the perpetrators has ever been taken. Fair use rationale for Image:Les ferdinand.JPG[edit]

Image:Les ferdinand.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:33, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BBC Radio quote[edit]

I saw this with no reference in the article so moved it here for now till someone finds some citation for it.
Ferdinand made his debut on BBC Radio Five Lives Fighting Talk on Saturday 18th April 2009, which was hosted by Kelly Cates (formerly Kelly Dalgleish)

1995/96 Newcastle Stat Line[edit]

Been trying to fill Les' Stats section best I can. Can't seem to finish off his PFA Player of the year season though. In the Cups is where I'm stuck. Newcastle's games were as follows:

FA Cup - Chelsea (A)*, Chelsea (H)

League Cup - Bristol C (A)*, Bristol C (H)*, Stoke (A)*, Liverpool (A), Arsenal (A).

Marked with a * are the games in which he scored (and therefore played). So we need to know if he played in the Chelsea (H), Liverpool (A) and Arsenal (A) games to complete that line. Thanks. MattM4 (talk) 21:00, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
