Under the north star Has been translated into english by Richard Impola.--Alun 08:54, 13 May 2005 (UTC) A "translation" of "The Unknown Soldier" into English was published in 1957, but English-language readers should not rely on it for an accurate idea of the book's contents (or style, as I found already in a beginning Finnish language class). Portrait on banknotes[edit]

The article on the Finnish markka mentions that the use of his portrait on the 20 markkaa banknote was in violation of copyright, and a substantial compensation payment was made. This seems notable, but isn't mentioned in this article.
